LONGFORD HALL FARM Gardens at Longford near Ashbourne, Derbyshire UK.

I consider myself extremely fortunate to be granted regular access to photograph, and assist where and how I can, at  the stunning and ever evolving gardens at Longford Hall Farm .

I first met Liz (Longford Hall Farm’s owner and dynamic inspiration behind the creation and maintenance of the now stunning established gardens at Longford Hall Farm) at the end of the very wet Autumn 2019. Soon afterwards I met core members of her hard working and talented farm and gardens team. Those present at the meeting were myself and 3 blokes who were called Phil (no problem remembering names here I thought…just Liz  and Phil for any of the blokes.

Liz somehow effortlessly juggles her daily routines to undertake full hands-on farm activities that include her tractor driving/ploughing and numerous other intense seasonal farming duties and tasks in tandem with Phil C , as well as make time for her numerous other interests and “projects”.

Phil C is the ace for machinery and general farming knowledge; amongst his other skills, Phil R provides his creative landscaping and excavating expertise around the farm and particularly for the newly created front garden large pond and wooded area steel backdrop panels.

Combined with Liz's talents and drive...WHAT A TEAM they make and I am so pleased to capture the fruits of just some of their works.

NEW FOR 2023

In Autumn 2022 myself and Liz planted over 1000 tulip bulbs in the woodland grass  areas. The images shown of the woodlands are from 2022.....this year the woodland should look spectacular in early Spring with these additional massive number of tulips.
